Rather than offering one service, Nyame Dua Group serves as a community partner that helps individuals navigate life's challenges through education, advocacy, wellness, and resource connection.

Veteran Services

Helping veterans understand and access the benefits and services they have earned — VA benefits guidance, disability claims, healthcare enrollment, employment resources, and transition assistance.

Mental Health & Wellness

Mental health resource navigation, behavioral health referrals, crisis connections, peer support, wellness education, and trauma-informed advocacy for those ready to heal.

Community Services

Connecting individuals and families with housing referrals, employment assistance, food resources, financial literacy education, family support, and community outreach programs.

Nyame Dua Group is a veteran-led organization dedicated to strengthening individuals, families, and communities through service, advocacy, wellness, and opportunity.

Inspired by the Ghanaian symbol Nyame Dua, representing God's presence, protection, and spiritual strength, we believe every person deserves access to resources that help them grow, heal, and thrive.

Our work bridges the gap between military service, behavioral health, community support, and long-term stability by providing compassionate, person-centered services that empower people to build better futures.

Domestic Violence Resource Center

Over 100,000 victims served across Washoe County. Crisis text line, shelter coordination, legal advocacy, and community education on healthy relationships.

Child Assault Prevention Project

10,000 children and adults reached annually through safety workshops in urban and rural schools. Teaching kids to recognize and ward off abusive situations.

The Children's Cabinet

Child-focused support services including Safe Place — partnering with local businesses to offer safe locations for children to seek help. Free family counseling for households in crisis.

Awaken

Nonprofit committed to increasing awareness and education regarding sex trafficking. Housing and healing for all survivors who need help healing and adjusting to life after trauma.

Safe Embrace

The largest and most inclusive safe house in Reno-Sparks for survivors of domestic and sexual violence. Counseling, emergency transportation, and court support.

Eddy House

A safe space for at-risk individuals aged 18–24 recovering from domestic abuse, unsafe housing, and homelessness. Bridging the gap to independence.
